THE CHARLES RINGLING MANSION | OCTOBER 17, 2026

This black tie wedding backdrop will be New College of Florida, located at The Charles Ringling Mansion, a part of The Charles Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida. As an artist that’s spent decades visiting the grounds of The Ringling Museum, receiving this invitation design request was a literal dream come true! The bride, Peyton, had a clear vision of her perfect wedding invitations from the start. Peyton and I’s collaboration began with her Save The Dates, which featured a one-color letterpress print on lush pearl handmade paper. For the invitations she chose a two-color letterpress print on the main invitation. The first layer of the invitation was a vintage floral rose frame. This letterpress technique is called blind de-boss, meaning it was printed with no ink, just impression. For the second layer, we letterpress printed the invitation details in a custom mauve ink. Playing off of their neutral color palate we incorporated a semi-custom roman arch die cut for the Welcome Party insert and an oval die cut insert for the RSVP insert. Peyton loved the idea of a watercolor color envelope liner that featured the wedding location. We tied everything together with simple, yet elegant, pearl green thread.

The bride loved assembling both her Save The Dates and Invitation Suite.
